Simple extractions may be available on a same-day basis. Wisdom tooth extractions and extractions of broken teeth or teeth that have had a root canal on them usually require a specialist and are not available on a same-day basis.

We offer same-day emergency appointments at our Upper West Side office.

  • At Central Park West Dentistry, we usually have time in our schedule for urgent cases. When you reach out to us, we’ll do our best to get you seen the same day or the next day. We recommend reaching out as soon as possible.

  • Yes, Central Park West Dentistry accepts many major PPO insurance plans! We’ll do our best to verify your benefits and provide clear cost estimates before beginning any treatment. However, please note this is sometimes not possible outside of normal business hours when insurances are closed. If you’re unsure whether your plan is accepted, call our office and our team will check your eligibility prior to your visit.

  • For people without insurance, our emergency evaluation includes a problem-focused exam, necessary X-rays, a diagnosis, and a recommendation for next steps — all at a transparent, upfront price of $199. Treatment is not included in this fee. For treatment, we offer pay-over-time options to help you fit care into your budget.

  • Yes, Central Park West Dentistry is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 6pm to help people who experience a dental emergency outside of the regular work week. We understand that dental pain doesn’t follow a Monday–Friday schedule, and we make every effort to accommodate urgent cases on weekends.

  • Visit an emergency room or call 911 if you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, spreading facial or neck swelling, bleeding that won’t stop, or any sign of a systemic allergic reaction. For all other dental emergencies — including toothaches, abscesses, broken or knocked-out teeth, and injuries to the mouth — an emergency dentist is often the right choice. ERs can manage pain and infection with medication, but they are not equipped to treat dental problems at their source.
