Broken Appointment Fee Donations

You probably knew we ask for 48 hour notice if you can’t make it to an appointment, or there is a $75 per hour short notice cancellation fee. But, did you know that we donate 100% of those fees to non-profit organizations? We don’t keep any of it. We’ve been supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The ASPCA, and Doctors without Borders for years. This month, our team collaboratively decided to also include The Trevor Project and RiseUp in our donation options.  If you’re not familiar with these great organizations, here are the details:

RiseUp

Rise Up works on activating women and girls to transform their lives, families and communities through investing in local solutions, strengthening leadership, and building movements. Rise Up strengthens the leadership of women and girls to be able to drive changes in their communities. It focuses on advancing women’s rights, equality, education, sexual and reproductive health, and economic empowerment. The organization conducts a range of innovative program and partners up with both global and local organizations to achieve sustainable impact. The network of the organization is composed of 500 leaders, has directly benefited around seven million girls, and impacted around 100 laws and policies in Africa, Latin America, South Asia and the US.

The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is focused on providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth. It offers crisis Interventions like the Trevor Lifeline (the only national 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention lifeline for LGBTQ young people under 25) and TrevorChat (A free, confidential, secure instant messaging service for LGBTQ youth that provides live help from trained volunteer counselors) They also offer Suicide Prevention Trainings and Resources.
