A few things, first

Usually, our helpful scheduling coordinators go over some important information on the phone before reserving your appointment. Here’s the online version of that.

Please take a moment to read everything.

All Visits

  • Confirm via email: After you book an appointment you must check your email and follow the directions in the verification you received. Your appointment is not reserved until you click the link in your email.
  • Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment kindly, let us know at least 48 hours in advance to avoid a $75 short-notice cancellation fee.
  • Insurance: Coverage will vary based on the provider you see and your policy. If we can’t verify your insurance before your visit, we’ll collect in full and submit a claim for you to be reimbursed directly. It can be challenging to verify plans after traditional business hours. We accept many major PPO plans including options from Cigna, Aetna, Premera, United Concordia, MetLife, Guardian and more! We are not currently accepting: Medicaid, Medicare, Fidelis Care, MetroPlus, Liberty, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, Healthfirst, Emblem, 32BJ, 1199, any DHMO plans but can offer you our new patient specials.
  • Delta Dental: If you are an existing patient with Delta Dental please do not use this form because not all our providers participate in Delta. If you are a new patient with Delta Dental, we appreciate your interest in CPW Dentistry but we are not currently able to see any new patients with Delta as our participating providers are at capacity.

Emergency Visits:

  • Provider and duration: You’re reserving one hour with a general dentist. If you’d like to see a specific provider, please use the request form or call us at (212) 579-8885.
  • Your visit: Your visit will include a problem-focused exam and one or two x-rays. It may also include a prescription for an antibiotic if indicated.
  • Immediate care: We understand your need for relief. Whenever possible, we offer same-day treatment to relieve your discomfort and send you on your way with a smile. Common same-day treatments include fillings for cavities, bonding for chipped/broken teeth, infection management, crown/bridge/veneer re-cements, palliative care for gum irritation, abscess drainage, and splinting after trauma. Simple extractions may also be available on a same-day basis. Please note that certain procedures, such as new crowns, root canals, and wisdom tooth extractions often require a second appointment for comprehensive care and are not always available on a same-day basis.

Wellness visits:

  • Provider and duration: You’re reserving one hour (existing patients) or one and a half hours (new patients) with a hygienist and a general dentist. If you’d like to see a specific provider, please use the request form or call us at (212) 579-8885.
  • Your visit: Your visit will include a cleaning, exam, any necessary x-rays, and an optional fluoride treatment.
  • If it’s been a while: If you’ve been to the office before, but your last cleaning was over 18 months ago, please use the request form or call us at (212) 579-8885. We’ll schedule a little extra time.
