What’s your role here at CPW Dentistry, and what does a typical day look like for you?
I’m a primary dental health care provider. As a general dentist, I spend my days diagnosing, treating, and collaboratively managing people’s overall oral health care.
What do you like most about working here?
My relationships with my patients. I celebrated my 15th year at CPW in the fall, so I’ve had the pleasure of being a small part of my patient’s lives. I’ve loved being around for the milestones- marriage, kids, grandkids, retirement. I also feel so fortunate to be surrounded by great doctors. Because we’re a multidisciplinary practice, I’m able to work collaboratively with specialists. This allows me to give people the best options for their treatment, and I know they’ll still be in good hands.
What motivates you to come to work every day?
Every day gives me a chance to make a difference in someone’s life. It’s rewarding to be able to make something unhealthy, healthy again, make pain subside, or give someone the confidence to smile again.
What makes you feel accomplished and why?
There isn’t a better feeling than transforming an anxious patient into someone who actually likes coming to the dentist!
What do you want your patients to know?
It’s never too late to start taking back your oral health. I often see people who are embarrassed that they’ve let things go or haven’t had a checkup in years. There is absolutely no judgment on our part. We feel privileged that you’ve chosen us to help you.
What’s your favorite thing about the weekend?
Lazy Sunday mornings with my family. We stay in our pajamas and make a big breakfast. My husband is in charge of the coffee, my daughter the fruit, and my son and I the pancakes!
