Meet Dr. Lauren Kopp

What’s your role here at CPW Dentistry and what does a typical day look like for you?
I am a general dentist here at CPW. As a general dentist, I get to spend my day doing a wide variety of procedures like exams, fillings, crowns, nightguards, and Invisalign. No two days are exactly the same!

What do you like most about working here?
I love the camaraderie between everyone who works here. We make a great team! We can count on each other to take the best care of our patients.

Why dentistry?
My father was a physician, and I was always interested in the sciences and healthcare. When it came to deciding between medicine or dentistry, I chose dentistry because I knew I wanted to work with my hands and I loved the artistic aspect of it. I enjoy seeing the same patients over and over again because I get to celebrate successes and milestones in their lives over the years.

How do you want people to feel when they come to see you?
I want people to feel taken care of, well informed and involved in treatment decisions.

What are you passionate about?
I am super passionate about traveling. My mom loved to travel and growing up, we went on a lot of girls trips together. I love visiting other countries to see how the locals live, eat local foods and appreciate the unique, natural beauty that each place has to offer. It’s so nice to connect with people from other parts of the world. I could go on and on!

Where did you grow up and what was it like there?
I grew up in Mukilteo, Washington which is about a 30 min drive from Seattle. It’s located right on the water with a cute, little lighthouse and a ferry to one of the islands of the Puget Sound. Most of us teens growing up back then would spend the majority of our weekends at a neighboring city’s mall, wandering around (buying nothing) and then watching movies with friends at the movie theater attached to the mall.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?
My favorite way to unwind would involve either a glass of wine or bubble tea and binge watching a Netflix show with my dog and fiance. With dessert. Yes, this dentist has a sweet tooth!

What’s your hidden talent?
I can juggle!
