John F. Lhota, DMD

Central Park West Dentistry’s Founder and Owner, Dr. John F. Lhota, is a 1985 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He attended a six-year accelerated program for dentistry in conjunction with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for academically gifted students, where he obtained both his B.S. in Biology (minor in Literature) and his D.M.D. dental degree in six years.

Dr. Lhota has been a practicing dentist in New York City for 35 years, providing comprehensive dental care with an emphasis on conservative quality care. His approach to dental care is to emphasize prevention and carry out quality conservative care with the goal of maintaining and improving overall oral health, along with systemic well-being. Dr. Lhota is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow of the Suffolk Academy of Medicine, and has held a faculty appointment at the NYU college of Dentistry. Dr Lhota is a member of the American Dental Association, New York County Dental Association, and New York State Dental Association. He is fond of music and is an animal lover. He’s been a resident of the Upper West Side for decades.
