No matter what kind of dental care you need, you'll be in skilled hands at Central Park West Dentistry

Restorative Dentistry | NYC

Restorative treatment refers to the various ways our dentists can restore and repair your tooth structure. Tooth structure can be missing due to decay, a failed restoration, or fracture of a tooth. Whatever your needs, our dentists will utilize the finest materials, and the latest advances in technology to ensure they restore your smile to its ideal function and beauty.

Fillings

Fillings are the most common dental restoration performed at our office. Your dentist will carefully remove decay from your tooth, and fill the remaining cavity with natural tooth-colored composite resin. For both cosmetic and health reasons, our doctors choose composite fillings over traditional silver (amalgam) fillings.

Crowns

A crown is a natural looking tooth shaped restoration that completely covers your tooth. We place crowns when your natural tooth isn’t strong enough to function without protection; for example, to repair a broken or worn down tooth, to protect a root canaled tooth, to cover an implant, or to support a bridge. Most crowns in our office are made out of a very hard white material called zirconia, or a zirconia derived product. Zirconia is biocompatible and durable which makes it the best material for most, but not all, patients – so we’ll determine the best kind of crown for you based on your unique case. Feel free to ask us which is best for you. Learn more about crowns in Dr. Martin’s Q&A on our blog.

Bridges

Bridges replace missing teeth by using the adjacent teeth as an anchor to literally “bridge” a gap with a natural-looking false tooth. Your anchor teeth are fitted with crowns so they can be strong enough to support the false teeth between them.

Dentures

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth. Dentures can replace one, many, or all of your teeth. We also offer a comfortable, permanent alternative to dentures, called the All-on-4.

What People are Saying

I recently had a filling replaced and I've got to say that it was the most pleasant dental experience I've ever had, and probably the best dental work I've ever had done. I have very sensitive teeth, and am prone to severe pain with dental work. My dentist patiently waited for my anesthetic to work, and made sure that my experience was completely pain free. His sense of humor and pleasant, friendly attitude throughout the whole procedure made the office feel like home. He's exceptionally skilled and talented at his craft, and puts the patient's comfort and well being above all else. The rest of the staff that I've had the pleasure of meeting are also nothing short of exceptional.”
–Ivan V.
I have always had a great fear of the dentist, which is why I haven't had my teeth checked in over a decade. I was impressed from the moment I walked in the door, the cleanliness of the office, the gentleness of the staff who understood my fear of dentist, the whole process went very smoothly and my cap was back in. The treatment and care I received was so painless, that I made a decision on the spot to go to them for my dental care. Everyone there was attentive and professional.”
Cheryle R.
I had been looking for a good dentist for some time and was referred by a friend to CPW and I'm so glad I took the suggestion. From the moment you walk in you are welcomed with a smile. The waiting room is so cozy that you don't really feel like you're at the dentist at all, there was coffee, tea, water, and even phone chargers there to make sure you're really comfortable while you wait. Not only that, but their schedule works well for someone like me with very hectic work hours, they were very accommodating.

Outstanding service and care from this practice. Highly accommodating with regard to scheduling, consultation and payment. Follow up phone calls. Empathy from everyone. What more could you want? Problem resolved.
